vCash: 500 | Fabregas Stays At Arsenal Real Madrid and new President Calderon have failed in an attempt to sign Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal. Julio Baptista had been used as leverage but as Fabregas' agent retorted, "they don't want Baptista, they want Cesc." Sums it up well. |

vCash: 500 | Awesome news for us gooners. Always knew it was utter nosence and this type of thing happens all the time in Spain with those damn presidentual elections. But there is always the chance thats a young spanish kid could fall into the trick but thankfully he hasnt. |

vCash: 500 | It would be a mjaor blunder for his career path if he did move now, just becomeing one of the first picks on teh Arsenal team sheet is what he should be aiming at right now, I think he is nearly there. Is he not a Barca fan anyway? |

vCash: 500 | sorry to all gooners but dont think your side will be good enough to contest top 5 with such a small squad and if wenger cant afford wages then i dont see how the side that finished 4th or 3rd last season can do better this season |

But we have another strenght in the midfield and up front. And the only place were thin would be at the back. In a press conference Wenger already stated that. Plus he is already working on bringing in another two players. When did Wenger not being able to pay wages happen? I havent heard anything about our finacial situation. This is how i see the state of the arsenal season. Goalkeeping: Lehmann has just got back off a strong WC so will be feeling great and Almundia is a decent enough cover. Plus we have Mart Poom should the worst happen. Defence: The full back positions are set in stone. With Clichy and Eboue proving they can step up if needed. The main concern comes from the central defence. Obviously Toure will be a lynchpin. Senderos would have been the number 2 defender had he not dislocated his shoulder and i think that means we will have to play Pascal Cygan *shudders* should we not make a signing. Cant forgot about Djourou. Yes signings will be needed, but so long as we do make signings we wont be too hard up. Midfield: Central midfielders have a nice mix. Fabregas is pushing for a start up spot. Rosicky will bring alot to the team and Gilberto will likely be under pressure from Fabregas to start. Plus with the two youngsters Flamini and Song will we come in midfield. On the wings we have a ton of options. Hleb, Van Persie (who is also versatile and can play up top) Same can be said for Reyes and not forgetting Freddie "Steady" Ljungberg. Ton of options there and one of our stronger areas. And just a quick note. Look out in the Craling Cup for a guy called Sebastian Larrson. I rate the guy highly. Forwards: No prizes for whoever guess's who will be our number one striker. What is important is who plays with him. Im thinking Van Persie has done enough for me. Reyes will push him all the time for a spot. Those are our three main strikers. Although Aliadiere and Theo Walcott will be there if needed. So thats my review of Arsenal. Take of it as you wish. But for me i know were going to beat Newcastle. Question is can we do that against Chelski, Manure and Liverpool. (those three i consider to be the main rivals. Although Spuds do also have a good team

Dont agree at all with your Lehmann comment. I think the guy is a solid goalkeeper and one of the top four in the league behind Van Dar Sar, Cech and Robinson. Yes his temperment will always be in question but you cant say he isnt a good keeper. He is the most agile 30+ year old in the premiership.
