vCash: 480 | Nepalese league start postponed The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to launch the new season of the Nepal League from November 1 instead of the earlier date in September. At its meeting recently, ANFA members also decided to double the prize money this year. The league winner will get two million Nepalese rupees (approx. US $28,000), which is double than what defending champions Manang Marshyangdi Club received last year. The runners-up will be richer by one million rupees (US $14,000) while the third-placed team will get half a million rupees. The association will also give a car to the best player of the league. The ANFA has also increased the preparation allowance for each ‘A’ division club from Rs 175,000 to Rs 250,000. A total of 14 clubs will vie for the top honours in the premier event of the country. |
