Tottenham have a bid for striker Andrei Arshavin rejected by the player's club Zenit St Petersburg, BBC Sport has learned.

don't think Advocaat will sell him for less than the £20M they want. there are a few clubs who would pay that kind of money for him, and Zenit know it. they'll want to keep hold of him for as long as possible, and only a really big offer will suffice.
