vCash: 500 | Best goalkeeping performance youve seen? Alright, time to give the unsung hero's a little time in the spotlight. Whats the best goalkeeping performance you've ever seen? Mines is probobly fairly biased, but it would have to be David Marshall's outstanding performance against Barcelona in 2004, in the UEFA Cup when we knocked Ronaldihno and Co out on thier arrses. Not only did he save a penalty from the great man himslef and decide to lob the ball over Ronaldihno when recieving a backpass, to which we all said well done but if you try that again your getting lynched! but in the second leg he made a string of outstanding saves the best of which came in the 1st few Minutes against the Spanish Gerrard. Also Andy Gorams performancefor Scotland against Holland in Euro 96 would have to be up thier as well. |

vCash: 379 | I'd have to say Jim Montgomery for Sunderland in the the 1973 F.A.Cup final against Leeds. Sunderland won 1-0 in what was possibly the greatest upset in cup final history .Montgomery was incredible that day as Leeds had chance after chance after chance and one particular double save from Peter Lorimer was just beyond belief I remember it like it was yesterday. |

vCash: 500 | I got to say i played for my Secondary school for 4 years out of 4 in goal and i had a stormer once. 2seconds in from match they shoot for kick off and i jumped backwards tipping over the bar. Then i came out to close down a attacker who was one on one with me. Got a ball in face. Major nosebleed. Ball went straight back at the guy. He hit it again and i caught it as a i was falling backwards as he struck a volley. Corner driven in knee height. Get to the front post and dive out. Intercepted it perfectly. Clean caught. Tipped the ball over the bar from a free kick. Saved another one on one. Caught one going top corner from a scramble on penalty spot. Then went Jen's Lehmann like and ball got knocked over back 4. I got into a sprint race with attacker as it was heading for a side line. Full on diving header to knock it out of play. Then sprinted back as they took a quick throw. Got man of the match for that. I was awesome that day. I was Jen's Lehmann. |

vCash: 500 | Not 1 specific performance but I must say that Nigel Martyn was worth at least 15-20 opints to Palace each and every season. Used to watch him live every week and that guy was amazing. Maybe he was too loyal to us and left when he was too old to fully receive the 'world class' status that he deserved. Had he been at Arsenal throughout the 90s rather than Seaman, then he would have had an even better career than Seaman did, without the mistakes which became more and more common with Seaman once he reached 35ish. |
