vCash: 500 | Best Goal What is the best goal you have ever seen your side score? who against? and why? Mine would have to be Paul Merson's last minute winner from the half way line against Everton a few years ago. The game was poor all through up to that moment. He quoted 'I saw the keeper off his line all through the game, i was waitin for the right time to get some space and have a crack' The goal still means alot as Paul is my idol - the best creative midfielder to ever put on the Claret & Blue shirt - cried my eyes out when he left lol. Theres a few more goals i remember that really stick out Stan Collymore - against Athletico Madrid in the Uefa Cup Beni Carbone - against Leeds in the quarter final of FA Cup Dion Dublin - against Bolton @ Wembley sendin us to the FA Cup final from the spot after comin back from a broken neck (Legend) Alan Thompson - against Sheffield Wednesday Savo Milosovic - against Leeds in the Coca Cola cup final @ Wembley Tommy Hizlesperger - last minute winner against Bolton @ the Reebok Tommy Hizlesperger - against BirMINGham Kevin Phillips - against BirMINGham Lee Hendrie - equalizer against Palace @ Villa Park Theres so many to mention lol Last edited by ClaretAVFCBlue : 01-15-2006 at 04:22 PM. |

vCash: 500 | Good thread. 1, Thierry Henry ~ 1-0 win against Man Utd. Edge of the area, back to goal, Flicks it up and Boom Boom. 2, Robert Pires ~ 6-1 win aganist Southampton the first game of our 49 game unbeaten run. A dink over the Southampton Right back see Niemi off his line and from edge of the area. Boom Boom. 3, Thierry Henry ~ 2-0 win against the Spuds. Henry picks the ball up just outside his penalty area from a Spuds corner. One look up and Henry is gone beating about 3 defender's untill he meets a strong Spuds defence. Henry comes inside and with the inside of the boot pass's the ball past the Spuds goalkeeper. Their is also a few other but those three do it for me. |
