vCash: 480 | Flachi ready to return for Sampdoria Sampdoria striker Francesco Flachi is available to return to Walter Novellinos side for this weekends match against Roma after having completed a two month ban for his involvement in a gambling scandal. The marksman was suspended by the Italian Federation in September after it was revealed he and team-mate of the time Moris Carrozzieri has been involved in providing betting syndicates with match information. As well as the ban to their player, the Genoa-based side were fined 20,000 euros, and the Blucerchiati have since struggled to make inroads on the top half of Serie A. Doria currently lie in 13th place following last weekends defeat to Torino, but Flachis inclusion in the starting XI at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday is by no means a certainty. In his absence, Emiliano Bonazzoli and Fabio Quaglierella have formed a decent partnership, and despite the sides poor position in the league, the strike pairing have netted nine times between them so far this season. To make matters more difficult for the returning goal ace, Fabio Bazzani is also set to return from injury. |
