Could Becks still cut it?

With David Beckham's imminent departure for the MLS in the US, does anyone feel he still could cut it in one of Europe's major leagues?

whilst i think Becks talent has always been vastly overated i still think he could cut it in any of Europe's majoe leagues. However, i don't think he's good enough to play for any of the major sides but he could do a job for the mid-table sides.

apart from the fact he's past his best as a player ( and was never that good to begin with anyway ) he'd be far too easy to goad and wind up in the majority of European teams. even mid-table top-flights, a wee dig here, a wee dig there...

i thnk that in his heart he wants to move back to england for sum1 like tottenham, newcastle, ne1 who can afford his wages. but he has to think about his family as he cant mess his kids around like this , they ned to grow up in a better environment. but he would roll the benjamins in USA as as u sed marketability is the factor.

Definatly not. He can't beat anyone and for all his reputation as a set piece expert he needs alot of free kicks to score a goal. That free kick against Greece, he had missed the previous half dozen attempts. He also tends to run around like a headless chicken. Plenty of effort but few results.

Beckham would've still been considered great if he had never went to Madrid and stayed at Man.Utd like Giggs

don't be daft son. the reason he left was because he was surplus to requirements. he was out of favour, and replaced with Cristiano Ronaldo - a player who's actually fit to wear the number 7.

I think he still could play at first class club in Europe but i think the isn't so much interested in football. Victoria and Becks just looking for a new ground to make more money with his name. In europe there are too many stars but in the USA he will be a Mega star and all the little kids are goin to have a becks shirt.

Why do you think its unfair.
I think that they thing especially victoria that money is the most important thing in the world. I think the greatest mistake he ever made was marry her.
You can not say that you believe is going in the US without thinking about the money. But i want to know what you think about my oppinion. Hope to hear from you soon.

as i've said numerous times before, Beckham is best off in LA. he can go over there and live the good life, play football and not have to worry about living up to his hype. the Americans have a lower standard than Europe, so he will shine. he's a big name, and a famous face, and he won't get the criticism that he would get in England. the paycheck is good, and his missus will be in her element in Hollywood. it's a retirement league for him, and he knows it.
