vCash: 500 | for the punter it adds a little drama and saop opera to the mid-season lull, but most managers seem to hate it and i can understand why. it definitely adds a congestion to their workload. i think it evens it out a bit for the small teams. under thold system big clubs could buy their way out of injuries etc... all season long giving them a huge advantage over the small clubs. |

It makes some managers panic buy. Usually cheap imports. If there was only one transfer window then clubs would have to use more reserve and youth team players. That in turn would mean clubs investing in youth development which could mean we have a decent National team in about a decade. ![]()

vCash: 500 | only purpose for the January Transfer window should be to buy covers for possible surprise long-term injuries... like how Luis Garcia will now be out for the season those kind of things, and maybe to get another chance to sign those players that you were trying to buy in the summer that you just could not close on, like Hardgreaves for Manchester United (I hope we get him) MANCHESTER UNITED ARE CHAMPIONS AGAIN!!!!!!!! |

vCash: 500 | which is why i specified long-term injury... and if they falsely claim a player injured and we suddenly see him playing 2 weeks later the team is penalised MANCHESTER UNITED ARE CHAMPIONS AGAIN!!!!!!!! |

The real panic buying will be the last few days before the window closes, which when O'Niell was at Celtic used more often than any other days - I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of activity then.
