world cup england 2018?

Why are England getting put forward by the supposedly british government to host the world cup in 2018. Now, i understand they have the stadia and such but it just seems to me to be a sheer disregard for the other coutries within the UK. there are four stadiums in Scotland that are good enough to host WC matches and the millenium stadium in cardiff. the Northern Irish FA are struggling to find the money to build a new stadium. why not put in a UK world cup bid and fund them to build a half decent stadium.

My main concern here is the the fact that as a union we are all supposed to be in this together and looking out for each others interests. but in the year that the act of union is celebrating its 300th aniversary we keep seeing these terrible acts of neglect from the government.

I'm not sure the 4 home unions would want a UK bid as it may lead to calls for a UK team which nobody wants.

Although in 2002 the world cup was joinly hosted by Japan & South Korea so why not a joint England/ Scotland bid.

Seems that it might be academic anyway as in an interview today Sepp Blatter implied that the 2018 world cup would be in either North America or Asia.

world cup england 2018?

Mexico please as the atmosphere is better plus it hosted the two best world cups ever in 1970 and 1986.

Mexico as the permanent World Cup host!
