What is Your Favourite Goal

Of all time?

Just name the goal that you believe is the best that you have ever seen.

I would be torn between 2 efforts

For me it has to be Maradona 1986 Vs England.

The one other goal that I would rate closely to that is Van Basten Vs Russia in Euro Championship 1988.

I hate to admit it but Maradona's is prob the best. The pitch was awful that day, I remember watching the ball bounce all over the place as he walked past Butcher & co.

Van Basten's was good too but any of the goals from the 1970 final in Mexico for Brazil would be contenders too.

I have , can't make my mind up.

On a personal level, Henrik Larsson Vs Rangers 2000, nutmegged Amoruso and skinned Moore then lobbed Klos from 35 yards.

Best finish? Has to be Di Canio's outside of foot volley couple of season's ago, can't remember against who. Now that was a fantastic strike.

as legend says the brazil goal in 1970,where they sambad their way right to goal was the best of all time by far! nothing comes close! for individual dribbling skills, maradonas 86 goal, though i feel there was so much space for him to do his stuff plus england were not climatised to chase him like you would have in europe! thats not taking anything away from maradona, but there was no proper backbone from england at this point, they were scattered everywhere! watch it and see!

Van Bastans was of the highest quality, though there are thousands of crackers like that, though his was high profile at euro 88!
on a personal level as a Rangers fan, id have to mention 4 lol!

Davie Cooper in the now defunct drybrough cup final against celtic in 1980,this has been voted the greatest old firm goal from a Rangers perpective ,of all time! he plays keepy up inside the box lobbing the ball over 3 or 4 defenders heads then scores, without the ball touching the ground!

Brian Laudrups goal in 95, I'm not sure of the opponents, but he was inside his own half, ran directly to the middle of the halfway line, weaved in and out, and eventually scored from about 25 yards!

3rd, Gazza against Aberdeen, he got the ball about 20 yards from the half way line, beat every player in his path, and slot the ball to the side of the keeper from 12/15 yards, brilliant!

Last but not least Ally McCoist comes on as a sub, the ball hits his chest, he's outside the box, facing away from goal! He spins on one foot and volleys into the top of the net and scores his greatest ever goal, classic!

you know the rules!

yes its a good goal, and he was a great player, but Every Rangers player of all time is crap, thats why we have won about 12 more league titles, and won more old firm matches! so ordinary players must be better than class players then lol! and dont go on about 67,England bleat on about 66 and annoys everybody but England fans! Rangers are the most succesful team in scotland and that is a fact! you know that!

C'mon you lot. you know Gazza's goal against the Jocks at Euro 96 was sublime and that's without taking the oppostion into consideration.
c'mon, you have to admit every boy dreams about scoring a goal of that calibre!!!
jesus, even the celebration was absolute class

yes it was class, though i wanted to kill him at the time! i thought scotland were running the game, but Gary mccallisters penalty miss and gazzas genius put an end to that idea! but we did win the last encounter at wembley, but we should have won by 2 or 3,scotland played superb, and England crumbled! it was exact opposite in the first leg!

You're damn right 67,67,67,67,67,67,67,67
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Seriously, u know why 66 sticks in the throats of us Scots and 67 in those of the evil empire, JEALOUSY!! and the fact we and u have our faces rubbed in it constantly.
if Scots didn't covet the World Cup and u lot the European cup, there wouldn't be a problem.

plus both teams have about the same chance of winning both trophies............none!!!!!

All quality goals but....

Maradona 'HAND OF GOD' goal is the best ever.....not for the quality finish just the satisfaction value.

How about Andreas Moeller v's England at Wembley euro'96 just for the celebration.

Oh and Belarus equaliser last nite was also quite enjoyable.

its not jealousy, its just boring! i wasnt alive when Rangers won the european cup winners cup in 72,so its irrelevant to me,same goes for most fans of england and celtic!
if it happened for celtic or england in the near future, then i could understand the plaudits and over-bearing joy! (rubbing our face in it for ever) but by that time space travel will be like getting on a plane and going to spain! so it would be a one way ticket to Zonk for me!

Beartons I asked for your favourite goal, you have given 4 Rangers goals that I can't even remember!

What about mentioning Terry Butcher's?

The classic diving header against Celtic straight into top corner.
Or the header that lobbed Woods Vs Dundee Utd from about 40 yards from goal?

Both priceless!
