Julio Dos Santos says his transfer to Bayern Munich has capped an amazing year in his professional career.
The Paraguayan starlet concurred on a €2 million (£1.3 million) move to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, and leaves on a high note having collected his domestic championship title in 2005.
Dos Santos has also been a regular fixture for Anibal Ruiz's national outfit, and is now looking forward to 2006 with one of Europe's prominent powers.
"I am very happy for signing my contract now because that leaves me calm," Dos Santos told Primero de Marzo.
"This is a year that I am never going to forget in my life for all the good things that have happened to me.
"I have played many games for my national team, won once again the national title in my country with Cerro Porteno, and now I have signed my contract with the most important team in Germany and one of the most important teams in the world.
"I didn't think that at my age, being so young, so many things were going to happen to me so I am really thankful to all the people that made this possible for me and I hope not to let down all those people that trusted in me."
