Should terracing return?

Report calls for terracing return
A new report calling for safe standing areas at football grounds in England and Wales has been launched by the Football Supporters Federation.

FSF head of development Steven Powell said
"i think it's a very well-argued case for safe standing".
"I only hope that the Government and the football authroities sit up and take notice".

I Stevens say no terracing or standing at any stadia ever again because Terracing + stadia = (hillsbourgh) disaster.

Terracing works in Germany without any problems. better stadium design would solve the problems associated with standing.

the fences they put up were an afterthought, but if they were properly designed and thought out they would be far safer. Hillsborough was a terrible accident, but it's taught us the WRONG way to do terracing.

would be great for terracing to make a return, but I think like Hammertime say's...no chance. The clubs would be pulling their hair out after so much cash outlay on new grounds. Coventry would be doing hand stands. I remember they were about the first to go all seater before this "terrible accident at Hillsborough" although where I was standing it was no such thing, Coventry had an all seater stadium then went back to terracing then seating again before building an all seater new stadium

If all else fails there's always Chang

nobody says they have to go back, but anyone expanding or relocating their stadiums could include terraced sections as an option for those fans who would prefer it.

The problems that happened in Hillsborough was not because the terracing was unsafe, but because to many fans were put in the terraces. If you can get safe terracing like in Germany, I dont see why not.
