The World Cup has only served to highlight how endemic diving and cheating are in today's game. Quite frankly it's bloody pathetic all this diving and screaming at the mearest hint of contact. These guys are are disgrace to men and should be made to play a real contact sport like Rugby so that they experience what a real challenge is. Too many games have been ruined in this tournament by players who would rather con the ref than stay on their feet. Assholes, pussies etc......... i think you get the drift

As FIFA provide more rules outlawing more tackles and enforcing yellow cards the game will continue to develop into a non-contact sport.

totally agree. it really will be a non-contact sport soon. the diving has been shameful though. ruined what could have been some good games

Last night's game between Italy and Germany has shown the world how good football is without diving and playacting.

My prayer this summer?

That all footballers take note of this game and start to play in this positive manner and stop trying to beat teams in negative ways.

how many people have stated what a good team the 'talies would be if they stopped the cheating and cut out being overly defensive. Still fancy them to revert to stereotype in the final though, hope not though.

Italy v Germany showed how great the game can be when players try to play and cut out the diving.

Got to name and shame them, then either ban them or fine them for bringing the game into disrepute. What they are doing is lowering everyones enjoyment. Bugger it just take on board Singapore's punishment and 8 cracks of the whip..

a good boot to the Crown Jewels should sort them out. If they're going to go down so easily (steady) then they should be given a reason to go down. A Glasgow kiss should sort them out
