vCash: 500 | Two referees? Sepp Blatter ( a great advert for avoiding drugs and Switzerland for that matter) has suggested the modern game is now so fast it needs two referees to control the it. An experiment too far? |

vCash: 500 | Instead of 2 referees for big matches I would like to see some sort of video replay. It would not slow the game down as much as people believe. Maybe the second referee could be watching the game on tv with a few beers like the rest of us! |

vCash: 500 | Video replay for major incidents such as the ball crossing the line or offside goals would definitely make the refs job easier as these tend to be the hardest calls and the ones they most often are pilloried for. also agree that video replay wouldn't slow the game down after all it hasn't slowed down Rugby union where it has been a success. No more dodgy try decisions. |

vCash: 515 | Blatter is always good for a laugh. what is it with this guy. dose he come out with these brainstormers just to look as though he does something for a living? Two refs, don't make me laugh. agree with the video stuff and its uses |

vCash: 500 | i agree with video replay in theory but as you said there many things that would need looking into such as the expense. who would pay? the clubs or leagues? |

vCash: 0 | What about bringing in the video replay only in the top leagues to begin with? The costs involved for smaller teams could put many under. I do like that idea though, look how tight the games were at the world cup, just one mistake can cost a whole country their dreams of victory. |

vCash: 500 | Yeah im a firm believer that video must be brought in and have the 4th Offical watching that. And let the managers have like in american football three oportunities to ask the ref to look at something. |

vCash: 726 | it wouldn't slow the game down that much, since the 4th official would be watching the replays while half a dozen irate players debate with the referee and one lies on the ground holding his face ( despite the fact he was kicked in the shin ) |

What I would like is for some sort of panel to analyse the game and any proven instances of diving or playacting would result in a ban. It would be difficult but players would suddenly become more honest overnight. Quote:

vCash: 500 | If there was a panel for diving it would have a longer waiting list than a heart transplant on the NHS. |

vCash: 500 | Two referees? What next square footballs? What a stupid idea as each referee could controdict each others decision i.e one referee says a tackle was a foul and award a free kick and the other refree waves paly on. what happens then? A farce like allegedlly Fifa currently is. ta |

You're right though it would turn into a farce, they want to have 2 referees when there are not enough good refs to go round with only one on the park. | |
