Copa Brasil first leg

Flamengo (who's basge, I very much hope is a Famingo) drew first blood in the Copa Brasil final by beating arch-rivals Vasco da Gama 2-0 in the first leg at the Maracana stadium on Wednesday.

Two quick goals midway through the second half put Flamengo in an excellent position in the all-Rio de Janeiro final.

Substitute Obina opened the scoring in the 59th minute when he volleyed home from just inside the penalty area. Former Brazil striker Luizao headed the second three minutes later.

would love to go to one of those games. Iron Maiden's 'Eddie' is actually Vasco de Gama's badge and mascot. there u go.
bet Snow Patrol cannae lay claim to something like that MontheWell lol

Not yet. Snow Patrol can however walk without worrying they might break a hip.

Any more bloody excuse for you to find more content for Football Talk?

I would love to take in the atmosphere in one of these games but also the Argentinean derby match, that would be atmosphere. Jeez, I sound like Russ Abbot, better stop now.
