vCash: 480 | Larsen ends up in hospital following training ground incident Schalke forward Sören Larsen was involved in a nasty training ground incident, which has seen him end up in hospital. The drama unfolded Thursday however was kept quiet by the club until now. 25 year old Larsen, who has only recovered from an ankle injury, broke 3 ribs following a collision with keeper Manuel Neuer. The Dane will remain in hospital until Tuesday and will miss the 1st 6 weeks of the season. According to reports, Larsen collided with the innocent Neuer after receiving a shove from a defender (later said as Mladen Krstajic). The Danish newspaper 'Extra Bladet' reports the player's anger at events. 'He would not handle that I was faster than him' Larsen is quoted as saying. We must be strong in training, however that was simply unnecessary. In such situations you must think, it is a matter respect for your colleagues.' |
