My Sunday Afternoon at the Beach

SUCKED!

Only myself could go to the beach and walk off with a hairline fracture of my tibia. And so many cuts, bruises, swollen body parts and scratches.

Let me explain.

In america they had a tropical storm and we caught the tail end of it. This meant that Ireland and Cornwall had waves of 8ft plus.

Me and a few mates were surfing on a small beach we know. I went out and did my thing as per usual. We then got seperated. Because i saw a nice swell of waves away from were we was.

I managed to catch a few of them and was looking good.

Little had i known that the swell was so big that it was unsafe. Before i knew it i was heading from the rocks. I decided to try and surf back to shore and head away. I caught one crappy wave and i had to drop round the back of it inorder to be safe.

But as i said these were 8foot waves.

As soon as i was in the water and popped my head up i was caught on another wave. This wave threw me into the rocks i was trying to advoid.

After i realised where i was i looked around and another wave hit me. This one dragged me across the rocks. Tearing most the skin of my leg.

As i was going through the rocks i grabbed a big rock. THEN...

Another wave hit me. (moral boosting story hey?)

This as the same as the previous dragged me along the rocks. Then i hit my tibia. (the shin bone to normal people) that caused a hairline fracture.

From their i had to drag myself back into the sea. And from there while blood coming from my hand, arms and legs i swam back to shore.

Later that evening confirmed the fracture and that i was pretty beat up. Lifeguard said it was basically a 50/50 chance of death. But if it wasnt for my super human abilities i might not have been here to write this.

Anyway leave symothy below. Next time you might not be so lucky.
