vCash: 726 | African Cup of Nations who's watching it then? i've been impressed with the standard of a few of the teams - African football's really progressing. the level of fight in a lot of teams - Benin against Ivory Coast, for example, 4-0 down, and they still keep on coming forward. a few good players on show too, no doubt many of them will find their way into European sides before long. ex-Partick Thistle player Quinton Jacobs looked good last night, he showed commitment and willingness in tackles. his Namibian team mate Brian Brendell showed a lot of promise too; pacey, some good touches, eagerness in attack. i'd be quite chuffed if the Jags signed the pair of them. |

vCash: 500 | Africans have always had fantastic players but in the last decade or so 95% of the top quality African players will play for the France NT. Patrick Vieira spoke about this issue before(he's originally from Senengal). |

vCash: 500 | The competition reached the quarter-finals. I see the Ivory Coast as the main favorites at this stage! |

vCash: 726 | yea, it's a long way to travel for most of the fans, and it's expensive. for the average European, it's easy to jet off to another country to watch a football game, but not so in less-developed countries. plus, quite a few of the games started at 5PM, when people were still at work. some better planning could be used there, but all in all it was a successful tournament, and it shows how well the African nations are progressing in terms of world football. |
