goldenHuddlestone Admin Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 5,647 vCash: 480	Iran and Korea fined for attempting to name overage players in youth torunaments The IR Iran Football Federation and DPR Korea Football Association have been fined USD 10,000 each for registering overaged players in AFC competitions. The AFC Disciplinary Committee found the Iranian Football Federation guilty of attempts to register an overaged player – Sayyed Hadi Hashemzadeh – for the AFC Youth Championship. Players born only after January 1, 1987, are eligible for the AFC Youth Championship but Hashemzadeh’s identity documents proved that he was born on June 27, 1986. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test on DPR Korea player Ryang Tae-hun who was registered for the AFC U-17 Championship revealed that he was ineligible for the tournament, also the qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 World Cup next year in Korea Republic.
