Bent to get his chance...

"Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed Charlton Athletic striker Darren Bent will receive a chance to impress in England's upcoming friendly against Uruguay at Anfield."

Be intresting to see this. But still have my doubts he will take him to the world cup really.

sven wants to to see how he plays on right wing for last 10 mins!

bent looks ok, but not sure if he will step up to international level. i have watched at u21 level several times, and looked clinical in his finishing, so he may do it.

i would take him to germany as the fifth striker.

it has to be crouch, he's big but not in the traditional sense ie shearer and wait for it.....heskey (ha ha aha).

i feel england do need that trad big man tho, someone like sutton maybe, or even ashton. there not that many about in the prem. drop down to the championship ( arghhh!) and there are plenty, but untried!

Crouch played and scored. Bent didnt really do it for me.

Not that the strikers were really in the game.
