vCash: 500 | Gerrard 'cheat' Gerrard's dive for England's penalty was bloody disgraceful and embarrissing, as were Ian Wright comments condoning it. let's see if the media hound Gerrard the way, and rightly so, they have hounded players like Drogba for the same thing. we in Britain like to potray ourselves as above diving but there was one Of England's best players doing just that. PATHETIC GERRARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

vCash: 500 | Well said. I sat and watched World Cup heaven and hell last night and just had to laugh when the huy being interviewed started on about the Argies cheating and diving saying it was disgusting and all that. Talk about hypocrisy of England fans, we don't cheat - don't make me laugh. At least the Argies cheat when the game actually means something. England were caught cheating for a meaningless friendly! Not only that, the England players felt that cheating was the best way to win a game against Hungary. Not exactly the class acts that they will face in the World Cup. Absolutely shocking. |

vCash: 500 | This news has just been published. Former England captain Terry Butcher last night condemned Steven Gerrard for diving to win a penalty in England’s 3-1 win against Hungary last night at Old Trafford. After viewing replays that clearly showed that Feher made no contact with Gerrard, Butcher told Five Live Sport: “ It was never a penalty, Steve Gerrard dived.” However, Ian Wright refused to slate Gerrard for the dive, saying: “ Other teams will do it against us so why don’t we do it.” Although Hungary keeper Gabor Kiraly saved the subsequent penalty, Butcher still fumed: “ You can’t give a penalty for that. “ Feher came in two-footed to win the ball and Gerrard took it to one side and then went down, there was no contact whatsoever. Had there been contact he would have been stretchered off as it was a reckless challenge.” However, former England striker Ian Wright had a different opinion on the incident saying: “ Other people do that to us all the time and we say it isn’t a penalty. It will happen to us again so we should do it.” |

vCash: 460 | What is Ian Wright all about. Whenever 'this diving' happens to England he says it is terrible and we need to stamp it out, now its OK because an England player did it. You're havin' a laff Wrighty. Just face it your team was crap. Quote:

I think they call it propaganda. We are use to this North of the border at it is more annoying than anything else. But heres what will keep us going...... the look on Lineker and Wrightys face when England crash out to a poor decision a fluke goal or even better to a missed penalty. REMEMBER ALL NON ENGLAND FANS He who laughs last.....laugh longest. ![]() D'oh

Your only a cheat if you get caught. And if England win a penalty in the last minute against Brazil in the final, and the player had dived I'll take that every time. Sometimes you can't win with passion or skill but by being 'ingenious or creative' you can.

Exactly Homers point, in South America if you can con the ref and your team wins you are a hero. Playing with cunning is respected there as much as playing fair is here.

vCash: 0 | Maradona is a diving cheat, but I wish that he was English. If an Englishman cheatsto help us progree I would have no problems with it. I don't think that it was needed in a friendly match though. Point taken about Wrighty, he can be a little too patriotic at times. Ronaldo - A message to you |
