Rooney Gets Go-Ahead For World Cup

England’s hopes of winning the World Cup were given a boost after Wayne Rooney returned to their training camp in Baden-Baden after undergoing his scan in Manchester.

Rooney is expected to play some part in England’s World Cup campaign, most likely in the knockout stages.

A statement on Manchester United’s website said: “ He is now in the care of the England medical team. The expert medical view is that Wayne has a good chance of being fit after the group stage.

“ At that point, the expert medical view is that his participation in the tournament will require very careful assessment in order to address suitability, as he will not have had the opportunity to play in less demanding games.”

Rooney’s return to the team’s training camp has given the players an extra boost, with Frank Lampard saying: “ It will be a lift to have him back. A player of Wayne Rooney’s quality would get into any squad in the world so we all wanted him to be fit.”

Rooney is expected to take part in England’s training session today.

That sounds like a fair deal --- done!

You need to take pictures to prove it though!

As Kevin Keegan once said " I'd love it"

England will qualify and face Ecuador in the next round.
