Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will miss his countries opening World Cup match against Holland tomorrow.

Coach Ilija Petkovic will have to shuffle his first choice team for the opening match.

The centre-back is suspended after being sent off in their last qualifier against Bosnia. With strong opposition in the group Serbia and Montenegro must take something from the game if they are to have a chance of qualifying from the group stages. They also face Argentina and Ivory Coast in their group.

Does this mean lump a huge bet on Holland or what.

If he is their best defender they could be in trouble already. At least he'll be fresh for the next game.
