Football fan killed by police in Italy but claims their action as a mistake

we all know accidents do happen but how on earth could professionally trained police gun down a fan?Though we all also know of what holigans can do and have been doing, but my question is why did the police use live bullets instead of rubber bullets?

simple. they didn't use rubber bullets because it wasn't a riot. rubber bullets are only issued to riot police for crowd control, while this incident involved two groups of people - with no colours on at the time - fighting at a motorway service station.

what i heard on the radio last night was , the incident involved just 2 cars full of supporters , one car had Juventus supporters & the other Lazio , the policeman claimed he fired into the air but the fan who was killed was actually sitting in a car , does seem very heavy handed to say the least using firearms at such a minor incident

The boys of NYPD choir still singing Galway Bay.
