Inter are 3 points clear at the top of Serie A following their 1-0 win at home to bottom club Reggina coupled with Palermo's 1-0 reverse to Cagliari .
A 5th minute Hernan Crespo strike was enough to give Inter an unconvincing victory whilst Palermo went down to an 90th minute Pepe goal.
Third placed Roma recorded a 7-0 win over another Sicilian team Catiana to close to within a point of Palermo . Milan drew 0-0 with Empoli and are still only 3 points clear of the drop zone and could be looking nervously over their shoulders for a while yet.
Standings week 12, 1 Inter 30 pts, 2 Palermo 27, 3 Roma 26, 4 Livorno 19.

I think Palermo will definately qualify for the CL ,can't see them finishing worse than 3rd.

It's true there is a long way to go and anything can happen but if you look at the teams immediately below the top 3 , Livorno, Atalanta, Empoli, Udinese, Siena ,Catania any of these would be as unlikely CL qualifiers as Palermo.
Milan are a full 19 points behind the Sicilians and thats a hell of a lot to make up .

I agree there. Palermo are favourites to get champions league football for me.

If Inter dont win it this year...they should be banned from football lol the players they have at there dispossal are awesome, and with a lot of the other "big" teams having point deductions and being relegated etc, Serie A SHOULD be fairly straight forward this year. But ya never know in football!

Always the same with Inter, they tend to buy anyone available and not think of the balance or the morale of the team...but il stick with my prediction for them to winit this year.

Well they deserve to win something. This is Like wigan last season but i think they will stay second or get 3rd if Roma start playing there football.

7-0...wow...I hope palermo or roma or someone over takes inter...I cant stand them the only reason they are at the top is becuase ac got that stupid point deduction. I hope palermo or roma win because its out of AC's grasp now.
