AS.Roma won 4-2 away to Sampdoria to move above Palermo into 2nd place ,Roma have scored 11 goals in 2 games following their 7-0 thrashing of Catania last week and now look like the only side capable of challenging Inter for the Scudetto.
Elsewhere Milan finaly recorded a victory 1-0 at home to Messina on saturday with a goal from captain Paolo Maldini.
The top of the table now looks like this: 1st Inter 33 pts, 2nd Roma 29, 3rd Palermo 27, 4th Livorno 20.

For Milan watchers they are currently 15th on 11 points.

Livorno still at 4th place??

After watching them against the 'others' I would have thought that they would really start to drift away, they were very poor and have only gained 1 point from the UEFA cup.

I think serie A is slightly artificial this year due to the point deductions to top clubs apart from Inter and Roma there isn't a big name in the top half of the table.
