Roma Ticket Question

First of all, I am an American. Thought I should let you guys know that first off. I am going to be in Rome May 27, 2007 and that is the date of the
Roma vs. Messina game.

Category 3 - shortside - 34.25
Category 2 - Tevere Longside - 64.21
Category 1 - Monte Mario Longside - 98.46
Category 3 - 102.50
Category 2 - 137.50
Category 1 - 153.75

Those numbers are all in Euros. I do not want to spend too much money on a ticket. I check Chelsea tickets and they are $400.00 haha that's rediculous.

My question is does 'Category 3- shortside' mean behind a goal?
And then the longside wouldbe the length of the field?

How are the seats in the shortside? What tickets do you guys recommend?

Is the best way to buy tickets online or wait and hope there are still tickets when I am actually in Rome?
Can I buy over the internet with my American dollars?

Thanks guys.

well, looking at the Stadio Olympico in Google Earth, 'Tevere Longside' will be the eastern stand, nearer the River Tiber (Tevere being Italian for Tiber) and the Monte Mario stand will be the western one, next to the big hill (Monte Mario) at the back. a 'longside' is probably a better seat, since you'll be closer to the action on the pitch.

i'd imagine Tevere, being cheaper, will be Home support, which will be preferable if you're going to support Roma. it's best to make sure you're in the right section.
