Inter equal Serie A record

Inter equaled the record of 11 straight Serie A victories with a 2-1 win over Atalanta on saturday to bring a 7 point lead into the winter break , Roma kept in touch with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari whilst Palermo lost more ground as they were held 1-1 at Siena.

Milan seem to have finally hit some form winning 3-0 for the second game running so maybe the break has come at a bad time for them though I fully expect them to get into the champions league spots by the end of the season finishing 4th or possibly 3rd.

Well their next game is away to Torino on the 13th , could be tricky then it's Fiorentina home and Sampdoria away.

this run and dominance must be really hurting AC, especially as they are used to being top dogs in Milan. Inter's run is impressive as it's the draw specialist league.

depends on injuries etc. if they can keep their squad injury and suspension free they can keep it going a little longer

these runs build up a head of steam. who knows when it'll end. Juve went on a similar run a few seasons ago.

Well they made it 13 in a row today beating Fiorentina 3-1 at the San Siro although I don't think the last one actually crossed the line, they also increased their lead in Serie Ato 11 points as Roma were held 1-1 by Livorno

Next week Inter are away to Sampdoria I reckon you'd get good odds on a home win.

I think so unless they suffer a worse collapse than the England cricket team which is unlikely

Yes, it looks like Inter may win the scudetto this year and they should. With no competetion Roma playing poorly, Milan deducted points and Juve relegated to Serie B, you would think Inter would win. Let them have this hollow championship.

I take your point but if you look at Inter's record this season so far played 20,won 17, drawn 3, lost 0, you have to admit thats pretty impressive in any circumstances, Milan started the season with an 8 point deduction and are now 30 points behind so the chances are Inter would be well on top anyway, the one thing you could say is perhaps Inter have 1 or 2 players they might not have had if Juve hadn't been relegated .

But i suppose Inter fans could argue that they may have been more successful in recent years if Juventus & Milan hadn't been fixing matches.

If milan sign a good striker. Lets be honest Oliveira isnt any good. I still believe they can still finish second. Inter have won and yes i applaud them. Yet to be defeated but they will lose in the next derby. I can assure you.

With Inter inconsistent record over the last 10 years who knows what could happen? Is anyone really taking Serie A seriously this year, or Serie B for that matter? Personally I'm going to give Italian football about 3 years until I start following it again so things may get sorted out back on the pitch

Also surely Inter are just like Chelsea constantly buying the best individuals on the market despite them having two or three other amazing players in said position?

Rich clubs have always bought the best players it's simple economics, big clubs often buy a player just to stop their rivals getting them.

I tend to agree with you Maf, Inter have 4 strikers at the moment. Julio Cruz, Crespo, Adriano, Ibrahimovic. I have seen them bid for other strikers such as Suazo from Cagliari, Cassano from Madrid and Messi from Barcalona. If i were them i would try to strengthen there midfield. They have Solari and Figo who are coming to the end of there careers and Vierra who isnt playing as well as he can be.
