nah, had he not been too over-concerned with using pointless headshots, Hatton could have definitely won that on points. he's great at working the body, but hardly touched Maywether's torso all night. the plan went off-course, and he was knocked down. it wasn't the better boxer that won on the night, it was the one who played the better tricks. Maywether ducked down constantly, or got into a clinch, meaning the referee (who was pretty poor) got in there and separated them, stopping Ricky from doing any damage from the position he's most dangerous in. not to mention the point taken off him for a punch that didn't even connect, while Hatton took three punches in the back of the head in one round and Maywether wasn't even warned.

Don't know where he goes from here just about anything else would be a backwards step just wish he had put up a better display and then a rematch may have been a possibility.

hatton hasnt fought anyone the opnly boxer he fought was mayweather and look what happened he will fight guys he knows he can beat but thats it why doesnt he fight guys like the golden boy or ask for a rematch with maywether as i dont think he will stay retired there is only one champ in the uk and thats joe calzaghe
