Do players that switch from Rugby Leauge to Union work?

In fairness Andy Farrell has been almost permenantly injured since switching to Union ,but the move does seem more difficult than going the other way, some high profile players have flopped badly Istyn (sp) Harris springs to mind.

I don't know maybe Union is a more technical game than League and so more difficult to adjust to , but you would have thought a good rugby player could play either code.
