vCash: 379 | Why so long since a European has won a major? I'm no golf expert but I like to watch the majors and the Ryder Cup. In the 80's and 90's European players were queueing up to win major tournaments so what has gone wrong? Europe has won the last 3 Ryder Cups and I heard this year was the first time ever that the European team had a higher average world ranking than the Americans so why no majors. I know Monty could and should have won the U.S. Open this year but who do you think will be the next European to make the break through. |

vCash: 500 | I actually predict another Major less season this year for Europe. I honestly doubt we will win the Masters this year because the course just doesnt suit our players. I do predict a Trevor Immelmen top 10 though. Classy little player and properly been the number one South African this year. No title for us. Maybe Casey can get up close like he did at AMEX World Championship. US Open, will again be differcult. Oakmont is a very famous American course. Not terrible long but its like all US Open's. Gives guys in the fairway the best chance. So i expect the Total Drivers like Funky Furyk to do well. Guys like Luke Donald and Ian Poulter who both are accurate off the tee could sneak top 15's. British Open this year is at Carnoustie. Cracking little course but it seems like whenever the major's go to old school links courses the shot makers do well. Europe lacks in this department so much. I can think of Garcia and mmmmmm. Well thats it. Europe isnt known for its shaping of shots. Tiger excels here. USPGA is being staged in Okalhoma somewhere. (sorry forgot the course name) and i cant say i know much about it. Although like normal USPGA's the winner normal comes from the guy who can go low. This brings in your Micklesons, Woods, Singh and Scott's. So sorry but again i see no European win. |

Then from 04 onwards guys like Donald, Casey, Stenson, Monty all started to look better in majors. The win will come sooner rather then later. But i think in the 07/08 season. Sergio will properly be the guy. | |
