Wins today for Ireland and Italy

Scotland 18-19 Ireland
Sounds like this was a pretty dour game , Irelands famous back division didn't show but maybe Scotland didn't let them play ,still another Triple crown for the Irish & would have been a grand slam but for that late French try .

Italy 23-20 Wales.

The Welsh nightmare goes on 4 defeats for them , great for Italy though the first time they have won 2 games in 1 championship ,I wonder how long till their first grand slam.

aye, pretty much. two decent defences, but not a lot in the way of creative attacking play. the odd good run from either side, but not much happened in general.

we were better than in the Italy game... but that wouldn't have been hard.

England 26-18 France

Great win for England especially with so many top players missing , it's now a 3 way tie at the top with France, Ireland & England all on 6 points.

The final round of matches is on 17th March (St Patrick's day)

France face Scotland in Paris
Italy take on Ireland in Rome
Wales play England in Cardiff.

I think France will win easily ,Ireland will scrape a narrow win in Rome & the taffs will beat England ,so France to win on points difference from Ireland with England 3rd.

Ireland beat Italy by 27 points , which means France need to win by 24 points against Scotland to take the title.

France win by 27 points to pip Ireland to the 6 nations title unless England can beat Wales by 57 points in Cardiff

Wales 27-18 England

Wales may have lost their first 4 games but now they have beaten England they will feel they have had a decent 6 nations.

All in all a pretty good tournament I think France well deserved winners but I think this 6 nations will be best remembered for the emergence of Italy as a major force in European rugby.
