vCash: 379 | Just been looking at the fixtures , the tourament seems a bit over long , the first matches are on the 14th March & the final isn't until the 28th April. I predict a Scotland v Ireland final ( played with Hurleys & Shinty sticks) |

vCash: 379 | Actualy it starts today Group D West Indies v Pakistan ( 14:30 GMT) West Indies as hosts will be under pressure to perform but I think Pakistan will win this, but as the other teams in the group are Zimbabwe & Ireland these 2 are guarenteed to qualify for the next phase. |

vCash: 379 | Australia scored 334 runs in their 50 overs and lost 6 wickets Scotland scored 131 runs and lost 9 wickets as one Scotish player was unable to bat they were effectively all out so they lost by 203 runs. Canada scored 199 runs in their 50 overs ( sorry I missed that out in my previous post) in reply Kenya scored 203 for the loss of 3 wickets ( ie 3 of their players were out ) thus winning by 7 wickets If the team that bats first wins ( as in Australia / Scotland ) then the win is registered by the amount of runs that the chasing team falls short of the total ( in this case 203 runs) If the team batting second wins ( as in Canada/ Kenya) then the win is registered by the amount of wickets they have in hand when they pass the other teams total ( in this case 7 wickets) It's not half as complicated as it sounds |

vCash: 379 | Sri Lanka thrashed Bermuda in a real mismatch they scored 321 for 6 in their 50 overs then bowled Bermuda out for just 78 to win by 243 runs There was a sensational finish in the other match which finished in a tie between Ireland & Zimbabwe both teams scored 221 runs off of their alloted 50 overs. A tie in a cricket match is a very rare thing indeed and was only possible because Zimbabwe lost their final wicket off the final delivery of the match. Incidentaly in cricket a tie is not the same thing as a draw but thats another story. |

vCash: 379 | In another one sided encounter South Africa beat Holland by 221 runs Hershelle Gibbs hit 6 sixes in one over , the first time it's ever been done in a ODI and quite an achievement even against weak opposition . England disappointed with bat & ball in a 6 wicket defeat to New Zealand |

vCash: 379 | 2 big shocks on the cards today Bangladesh bowled out India for just 191 and even more unbelievable Ireland bowled out Pakistan for just 132, even if Ireland fall short of that total ,which they probably will, to resrict a top cricketing nation like Pakistan to such a low total is an amazing achievement. |

vCash: 379 | Well they made heavy going of it but Ireland made 133 for 7 to beat Pakistan by 3 wickets an incredible result Ireland now have a decent chance of making the second phase of the tournament. Bangladesh beat India by 5 wickets |

vCash: 379 | Just heard that Flintoff has been dropped for todays game , alegedly he was one of a group of England players who got pissed up last night went out on a pedalo and had to be rescued by coast guards ,hardly ideal preperation. |

vCash: 500 | Bizarre performance from England so far (as I write CAN are 30-2) seem to be just doing enough although I think the complacency could be dangerous. We don't want them to get a good partnership, build confidence with our fragile confidence and go out before we've started. |

vCash: 379 | England beat Canada by 51 runs in a rather lacklustre performance In todays other game Australia beat The Netherlands by 229 runs bowling them out in 26 overs, now thats the way to deal with minnows. |

vCash: 379 | India scored a world cup record 413 on the way to a 257 run victory over Bermuda yesterday , in the other game West Indies comfortably beat Zimbabwe by 6 wickets without breaking into a sweat. |
