How big is basketball in the uk?

Not particually big. Their is the odd game dotted around the place along with the leauge. Profile was raised a tad when rodman came over to play a bit last year. I must admith they only basketball i watch is the European stuff on Eurosport.

Basketball is fairly popular in europe, the city where I live has a team in the top national division in Portugal , they have several American players who weren't good enough for the NBA.

NBA games are also followed quite closely here on tv and in the press.

Basketball is definately the second most popular sport in Portugal after football
