vCash: 726 | for f*** sake Stevens, i've told you before, your use of the word 'allegedly' is incorrect. i'm hereby invoking my rights as official board grammar nazi and banning you from using that word until you learn it's proper function. and another thing, of course they won't be holding a night-time race. the cars don't have lights on them, and it'd be too costly to develop lights, as the cars would need a total redesign. the teams wouldn't go for that. |

vCash: 726 | i doubt they would. apart from the fact half of them crash during daylight, when you can actually see where you're going, the temperatures would be too low to allow the tyres to perform well enough. |

vCash: 726 | perhaps, but most places aren't very warm at night. including Singapore, where Stevens allegedly heard this alleged race will he held, allegedly, at night. allegedly. anyroad, track temperatures are normally round about 38ºC, there's no way you'd get that sort of figure without sunlight, so the tires wouldn't be as effective. |

vCash: 500 | If the idea of a night race wouldn't be discussed if it wasn't technically possible, they already said the lighting on the street circuit would have to be just right & safe to stop 'glare' etc, come on they're not going to be running round in the pitch black are they? after all it's Singapore not the back of beyond |

vCash: 726 | yes, it's technically possibly, but look at what races are currently ran at night; 24-hour GT racing. GT racers are developed from roadgoing GTs, so they have proper headlamps already. they light up Circuit de la Sarthe with overhead lighting, but the cars still have headlamps to see where they're going. there's no real way you're going to get all the F1 manufacturers to redesign their cars for one race. they spend millions every year in wind tunnels, developing the aerodynamics, and they'd need to spend millions more for one weekend's racing, in order to fit a pair of headlamps at the front and a pair of taillights at the back. |
