I only really follow baseball here in america, cleveland indians are my team, but footie is the only way to go.

basketball is a bit boring as all they seem to do is attack and defend alternately no one seems to dominate the matches and attack all the time

Football has become more popular in the USA over ice hockey, which is really saying something, footie is the most played sport for kids as well, 18 million+ playing

In Canada, there IS only Ice hockey.....though I played field hockey in school, and road hockey can start up at any given moment.

Hockey was never a big sport in the US anyway. Baseball and American Football is what they breathe, with a dash of Basketball thrown in for good measure.
There are a few Hockey crazed cities, and that's it, and even there, American Football is bigger.
I've watched alot of MLS and the stands are always half empty.
Football (soccer) is growing bigger with kids and teens playing though.
