vCash: 500 | Nearly £7m for Timoschuk Shankter Donesk are asking for around £7m for Antonily Timoschuk. The head coach stated"I have had a long talk with the player and I am sure he wants to go to scotland... Celtic have offered us hardly anything... but If i let him go for this kind of money then the value of all of my players will drop by half". Without a doubt, this price tag will rule Celtic out of the deal. The connection between this story and the Petrov deal is glaring. But i think you have to say fair play to thier coach. I hope Celtic show the same sort of strength to ensure that we dont just get good money for Petrov, but we good money for any players that want to leave in the future like McGeady or Maloney. |

vCash: 500 | He may be overvalued at £7M. We would need to get that in for Petrov if we are to sign him. Looks to be highly unlikely unless the price can be dropped, however what is encouraging is the fact that the coach will allow him to leave and he wants to come to Celtic. |

vCash: 480 | Maybe this would explain why youu want the same amount for Petrov i know what your saying, however, one correction, that's not the amount we want for Petrov. Our board have stated any fee will be £7m min. and quite right too. Good point Squid. Although Petrov has sated his desire to move to the premiership, his silence over the Portsmouth bid would suggest he sees himself moving to either a bigger or more prestigious club. |

vCash: 500 | I dont think Petrov was that bothered about a move to Portsmouth. Although he has put in the transfer requests he hasnt used the media to and get a move to them. I think he is waiting until St MON goes to Villa and then he will follow. |

vCash: 500 | I think that there will be some developments later this week on Petrov and that will in turn open the door for a replacement, Monaco are supposed to be interested and MON is a huge fan of the Bulgarian.Whether it is Timoschuk or someone else they will need to have experience. The strange thing about the Timoschuk rumours is that his coach says that he is a defensive midfielder. Could that also signal the end for Lenny? |

vCash: 500 | He was linked with Palace earlier too as a player/coach if I remember rightly. He will spend another year playing in Scotland and then move into coaching. |

vCash: 500 | Supposedly Bolton were interested 2 seasons ago but I remember Lennon coming out with the line that Bolton would be a step down. That comment may have had something to do with Allardyce trying to sign someone that Celtic and Bolton were after. He claimed that Celtic are a smaller club than Bolton at the time. |

vCash: 500 | Lets face it, when Alirdyce leaves Bolton that club will struggle again. They are punching above thier weight. Back to the Lennon point. I just cant see him being any use for us in the Champions Leaugue, home or away. I would rather see a younger midfeild like Jarosik and Petrov/his replacement. |

vCash: 500 | Big Sam reminds me a lot of Harry Redknapp in his signing policy, but he is more rigid in his tactics. For every gem that he signds there must be 5 duds that never even make it to the first team. Quote:

vCash: 500 | OK, after he has gifted the goal against Hearts the above statement may be null and void. I suggest a whip round of all the fans so that we can go and buy Timoshuk. May be they will knock off a little if we throw in Lennon too? |
