Grevesen signs for Celtic

Great signing. Can't wait to see him in an Old Firm game. I feared we had lost that strong, winning mentality when the likes of Larsson and Sutton left. Gravesen will go a long way to filling thart void and i'm sure he'll add much needed steel to our midfield as well as looking after our less experienced players.

lol. no, he's not that good. Buy Larsson's dvd. U can't underestimate the God like status he has at Celtic. That man is and will be irreplacible to us. He's been voted the best foreigner to play in Scotland. A true Legend

lol. not big enough my friend and there is a lot more class up here than u know. Remember trhe hidings Celtic dished out to the mighty Blackburn and Liverpool during our UEFA cup run.

Venegoor of Hesselink also. Dutch world cup star and top PSV goalscorer recently. high profile also. Every season sees a few high profile signings for the OLd Firm. Gazza, Laudrup,Sutton, Hartson, Kanchelskis etc.........

but my opinion is based on talent , not whom they were signed him from. We've all seen players come with reputations due to the club they were signed from, and then seen them crash and burn. Remember, he's a defensive midfielder, albeit a world class one, but he aint no Larsson, Moravcik, Gazza or Laudrup

exactly. i'm not denying that (read previous posts) and i'm delighted to have him. He is, as u said, a very high profile signing. Just shows how strong the lure of Celtic is when u consider we don't play in one of Europe's top leagues

When Larsson first signed many thought he was a donkey that Janssen brought in as an old pals act. Remember his first game at Easter Road? Giving the ball away to Charnley for him to score the winner?

You can't say that they will or will not be as big as Larsson. Just say they are better than any Rangers player available

Still think Rangers will win the league?

We signed Larsson from Feyenoord. He was playing reserve football at the time.

I suppose, he was signed for Celtic by Wim Jansen, the manager that brought him to Feynoord.

I still feel that there are more quality players like him available at these prices, you just have to be able to spot them and Wenger does that well.
