Who will be sacked first?

There are 2 managers in the esspeell at the moment who are under enormous pressure.

Ivanauskis of Hearts
Brewster of Dundee Utd

Which will be out of their jobs first?

With the backing that Romanov gives his managers, I would choose the Hearts option, but big Brewsteris making noises about not being able to do his job.

Hearts

I think Brewster is still a good manager. He has had a lot of money tospend but in truth he inhererted a poor squad, even for dundee utd's standard (obligatory smug old firm fan comment).

Ivan... etc has about one weeks more wages. Romanov is probobly getting a short list ready just now.

Romanov has already given Ivanauskis a 2 week break to 'recharge his batteries', but Brewster has lost heart. It actually is a bit of a toss up but I doubt that Romanov would be scared of a fans' backlash - that would probably be the least of his worries.

Romanov has already proved himself to be totally ruthless if not dictatorial and as such Ivanauskas will be the 1st to go. Thompson on the other hand appears to give his subordinates time to get things right and will be wary of making yet another managerial change. However, Brewster will have to turn things round before Christmas, i believe anyway.

I don't know how you can possibly say that Brewster can turn it round, he has been quoted several times that he can't motivate players and he doesn't know if he has what it takes. That sounds like a defeated man that has already given up.

There seems to be more of a fight in Ivanauskis.

I definatley think brewster will be the first to go as it appears he's lost the backing of the players. I always thought he let his heart rule his head when he took over the 'poision chalace' that is the dundee utd job.

mm Fight from a man who appears to have no qualms about being someone's patsy. As for Brewster, i think some perspective is needed here before judgment is made. Brewster was interviewed at a vulnerable time i.e after his team were beaten again. Obviously his emotions affected his response to the question and i could definitely detect some despondency, which explains the self doubt, in his response. But in fairness he was as equally honest with his players. However, i just can't see Thompson sacking him yet as whilst results obviously have to improve the club need to maintain some stabilty. I think he will be given till Christmas and if he fails the manager will still have enough time to get them out of trouble.

and his replacement, Levein, spells trouble for Brewster as Levein will get points on the board for the Pars as he'll make them a hard team to beat. With Levein's appointment, Brewster's job just got a whole lot harder. 50-50 now between him and Ivanauskas

he made Hearts into challengers in the spl and i suppose u could say he was successful. He left to jopin Leceister where he was sacked a few months ago. currently raith rovers manager but not for long by the sounds of it.
