vCash: 480 | Cowdenbeath appoint new manager Cowdenbeath have named former Dundee United and Hibernian defender Brian Welsh as their new manager. Welsh, who has been youth coach at Central Park for two years, replaces his former Tannadice team-mate, Mixu Paatelainen, who returned to Finland. The 37 year-old Welsh famously scored the decisive goal in a play-off victory over Partick Thistle as United won promotion back to the SPL in 1996. His playing career was ended by injury after a spell with the Blue Brazil. |
