vCash: 500 | Smith joins Rangers Quote:
Apart from his Rangers 'family' every other Scot will be disapointed and feel betrayed. This couldn't come at a worse time for Scotland and, for me, shows how little regard he has for the national team. personally i'm angered and disgusted at Smith's betrayal. Before Beartons accuses us of wearing green specs etc... let me just say i always believed Smith to be a man of integrity and honour even during his first tenure at Rangers, a belief that's now shattered by his recent actions. He had a contract with Scotland for which he has shown scant regard. Murray's role in this is also disgraceful. If Smith expects Scots to understand and forgive his decision he is living in cloud cookoo land. Not since the powerbrokers signed the Union treaty in Edinburgh all those hundreds of years ago, has a Scot betrayed his country so. | |

vCash: 500 | Vile betrayer. An absolute piece of scum. a guy that has proven to me that he is not worthy of the post of Scottish National manager. There are obviously two people that need to be discussed. Smith has shown scant respect for the Scottish nation which he has left when Scotland had a very real chance of qualifying for the Euro's. And David Murray has shown an equal lack of respect to the nation. they are both a disgrace and any time i see them i am going to spit at thier feet/crutches. The rest of the football fans in this country should make it thier mission to chant Flower of Scotland at every single Rangers match that smith manages (which, going by the state of the squad now should only last till may at most). However as a Scotland fan I am upset about the manner of the betreyal rather than the full effect that this will have on the national side. I said before that we had a ver real chance of qualifying and i still believe that we can inspite of this upheaval. |

vCash: 500 | your right it is unforgivable. I dont really think that smith appreciates what he has done here. This isnt like leaving the Celts to join rangers, this is much worse. He has just earned the hatred of a full nation. |

vCash: 500 | watching Martin Keown on football focus and whilst he understands the pull of rangers for Smith you could tell he was dumfounded by the decision to leave the national team. " he has done the reverse leaving national team for a club team. In this country(england) it's the top job". all the panel agrred that its the biggest honour to manage your country. That coupled with the fact Scotland is doing well are the reason we are so disapointed and angry. That and the fact we consider ourselves more patriotic than the most countries. |
