Should the SPL have exactly 16 teams in it each season?

I think Yes in order to get more quality and less quantity!
but unlikely to happen as this will mean most of the current members would only get one home game against Rangers and one game against Celtic instead of the current two games against Rangers and two games against Celtic this would cost the 2 clubs millions of pounds which they do not want to lose ever!

A 16 team league would make the SPL
Fun
Fairer
Fresher
this would make Scottish Football Better?
There is the quality to add 4 teams to the spl without lowering the current standard of the Scottish Preier League!

What do you think?

I think itwould be a good idea to have 16 teams all playing each other home & away once a season rather than this nonesense of splitting the league in half that they have now.

16 teams would just be 14 teams losing to the OF, rather than 12. very little difference in the real world.

I think something needs to happen to the SPL becasue its losing fans and money and will soon lose the few quality players that it has

What ever format Scottish Football has most of the teams playing in itwill be football conference standard.

At least with a 16 team top flight league Rangers and Celtic will get a fresh team to thrash each week.

i think you're deluded. they have that already, but either way it's not about the OF having teams to 'thrash' and should never be. the only way the SPL will improve is to have less of a gulf between the two forces of evil and the also-rans.

the main issue is that more of the SPL's £150 million income should be spent on youth development as the SPL is allegedlly making poor use of it's limited resources.

This along with a 18 team SPL would increase the quality and healthy of the Scottish Premier League as youth development is the main hope for a bright future for the SPL.

Each SPL club by 2010 should have a full size indoor sports pitch used for youth devlopment and free at the point of use for community use).

What can be done to make this a permanent reality?

Not enough is being done to invest resources in the future of the game.
Scottish football is allegedlly unhealthy and stle which needs freshining up ASAP and it is worse than The Championship In England football.
