Celtic have now agreed a fee with Hibs for Derek Riordan, believed to be £150,000.

The player is undergoing a medical and should be unveiled today.

Great news. Apart from the fact we now have Scotland's best young prospect in many a year, we have ended what would have inevitably ended up as another embarrassing Celtic penny pinching saga, which the tabloids just love.
Can't wait to see him next season now that he will get good a pre-season under his belt.

Perhaps you'll blame Hibs for trying to get the price up for the talent they have invested in. These types of moves by the Old Firm do nothing for Scottish Football. I'll bet he plays well at first then drops out to the bench then off to obscurity like so many before him.Another talent wasted a la pearson.

good to see the best scottish talent in years arrive at parkhead. Especially after they who shall be hereby and forvever reffered to as "them" showed interest in him last year. They probobly would have stuck him on the bench hile they persevered with some foreign "dunder heed" up front. I look forward to Riordan timming up with what looks to be the the best strike force in Scotland by far! C'mon the hoops!
