so anyroad, the Bairns showed Gretna up today, perhaps teaching them that Mileson's millions can't buy success forever, and the SPL is a tougher challenge than they'd anticipated.

nope, Gretna still getting humped rotten - six points adrift at the bottom of the SPL. they've failed to realise quite how much of a step up promotion can be, and how difficult it is to maintain a place in the top flight when you were in the 2nd division only two seasons ago. we know, because it happened to Thistle... only difference is we lasted two seasons in the SPL, whereas Gretna won't

the Jags? 1st division. currently sitting in 4th position, but it's quite tight, as usual. Hamilton are my tip for SPL promotion this season, swapping places with the doomed Gretna.

we beat Livingston last week, at Almondvale. it's home against Ayr in the cup on saturday, as i recall. should do ok, hopefully. the longer we stay in the competition, the longer we stay afloat financially. we're in serious danger these days, because we don't have multi-millionaire businessmen owning the club.
