vCash: 500 | What's Petrov worth? in the saga that is Petrov's impending transfer, i think Celtic are right to hold out for £6m plus. If Boumsong was worth £8.5 m then Petrov must be worth at least £10m. |

vCash: 500 | I think £10M is a pipe dream, a club in Scotland couldn't command a price of £10M for any player. If he is successful in the Premiership then he could be valued at £10M. |

vCash: 500 | agree to a point. an spl won't command £10m but then there is Boumsong's £8.5m transfer, so what we are talking about here is a precedent was set with his transfer. Unless anyone rates Boumsong as a better player than Petrov, Celtic are quite right to hold out for as much as possible. My valuation is based on what i believe to be an inferior player's transfer. |

vCash: 500 | He might be worth £10M in your eyes but in reality it is only what someone is willing to pay. Souness, [what a great judge of player he is] paid £8.5M for Boumsong, he was the next hot player at that time - the next Thuram as I heard a few times. What price would Boumsong command now? More than £5M? There were a few managers keen to take Boumsong at that time but only Souness was willing to pay that incredible fee. With the tightened purse strings again does anyine realistically think thast Petrov can command £10M?? |

vCash: 500 | £3 or £4M is a bit insulting if anyone bid that, which is what Portsmouth have bid. He is 27, captain of Bulgaria for 8 years, Champions league experience, reached UEFA cup final and our best player by a country mile. If he did that playing in the Premiership he would be valued at £8M+ but in Scotland if £6M was offered it would probably be accepted. |

vCash: 500 | Im a Rangers man maself, but do rate Petrov as the best midfielder in Scotland, personally Id rate him on the 9M mark, but a scottish club aint gonna get that theses days. Anyway if Petrov is off , Maloney and Mcgready are next, tell U plenty of clubs interested already!! |

vCash: 500 | Petrov will leave, eventually. As for Maloney and McGeady, they will leave too but not for a few seasons yet. Both half of the Old Firm will need to change the way they operate though, and we are starting to see the start of it. Both teams should be bringing on youth and then selling them on. Le Guen is bringing in youth from abroad and Celtic are bringing on their own, Rangers will catch up in that department soon enough. |

vCash: 500 | with allthings considered, i'd be happy with £7m for Petrov. as for youth, that is the only way foward for not just the Old Firm but all Scottish clubs. things bode well looking at the current Celtic and Hibs squads as well as Scotland's U19's performances |

vCash: 500 | regarding JediKnight's valuation of Petrov of 10 mil, incomparrison to boumsongs sale of 8.5 to newcastle which effectively got Souness the sack. I don't know how you can say that petrov is worth 10 mil when it is common knowledge that rangers ripped off newcastle as boumson is not worth 800K let alone 8mil |

vCash: 460 | A few wind up merchants have joined I see, DarthVaderRules being one of them. So, by your comments I can assume that you think that Petrov is only worth 500K? Are you a hun by any chance? Quote:

vCash: 480 | Looks like hes gone noe anyway. Darth Vader not Petrove. He didn't seem to impress in the Wales-Bulgaria game the other day. I think he was trying to put himself in the shop window too much and subsequently didn;t achieve a single thing. |

vCash: 500 | He normally plays in a deeper role for Bulgaria and when I have watched him play for his national team he did not impress either. His best position by far is attacking from midfield, with late runs into the box. |
