Barcelona v Real Madrid

Arguably the biggest domestic football game in the world has it's latest installment today as the Catalans take on the Royalists of Madrid once again.

Neither team is hitting the heights at the moment , both were dumped out of the cl during the week & both are in danger of being eclipsed in Spain by Sevilla & Valencia so perhaps this game takes on even more significance than usual .
I saw Rijkard saying there is nothing to choose between the 2 teams at the moment but historically home advantage is usualy decisive in these games so I expect a Barca victory.

Barcelona 2-1 Real Madrid.

What a match! A 3-3 draw with Messi coming up with a hat trick for Barca. Tough one for Real when it looked like they had it wraped up in the 90th minute.

I missed it too , sounds like one hell of a match, 4 goals in the first half hour, Barca playing with 10 men for the entire 2nd half coming from behind 3 times equalising in the last minute with Messi completing his hat-trick.

At the start I suppose Real would have been happier if you had offered them a draw but the way the game went it must feel like a defeat for them & a victory for Barca.

This was quite truely one of the best games I have ever seen, the pace the game was played at was phenomenal and it never let up.

Still looks like nobody wants to win La Liga this season with all the contenders unable to string 2 wins together.

Sevilla after their great win over Barca last week 1-0 to minnows Gimnastic , whilst Valencia needed an injury time goal from Fernando Morientes to scrape an undeserved draw at Osasuna.

Top of the table:
1st Barcelona 50 pts, 2nd Sevilla 50, 3rd Valencia 47, 4th Real Madrid 45.
