£3m defender set for Sunderland 'last chance'

Greg Halford has three games to save his Black Cats career

Tipped for the top throughout his time at Colchester United, Halford has failed to impress at either Reading or Sunderland after big-money moves.

Set to replace the suspended Paul McShane at right-back for Sunday's game against West Ham he told the club website: “If I’m given a chance I’ve got to grab it with both hands, it could be my last chance.”

I'm glad it took Sunderland to realise he's no good. They say he was lined up to come to our place a couple of years ago.

If all else fails there's always Chang
