vCash: 480 | Sir lex Ferguson believes he has his best-ever Manchester United squad Sir Alex Ferguson believes his current squad is the best in his 21 years as Manchester United manager. United beat Blackburn 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday with two goals in as many minutes from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Red Devils were without Wayne Rooney, who injured his ankle in training on Friday. Rooney had scored seven goals for United in his past eight games. Ferguson was particularly pleased with new signings Nani, Carlos Tevez and Anderson. "I believe this is the strongest squad I have ever had," Ferguson said. "So much so that I think I would be pushed to name my overall best team. "We have young players, led by Rooney and Ronaldo, now joined by the likes of Nani, Tevez and Anderson. In fact, it's difficult to know when to stop when talking about our important players." Ferguson has won nine Premier League nine titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups and the 1999 European Cup. "This is a good young team coming together," Ferguson said. "They have courage in the way they play. They want to win something and the signs are good. They have a great chance of doing that." |

vCash: 500 | While I agree this squad has great potential, and in time could possibly be Fergie's best to date, they have some room to grow. Rooney and Tevez are still getting comfortable with each other, and I think once that happens things could get interesting. They have improved greatly since the start of the season, and if they keep it up they may prove Ferguson right. |

He has simply come out ( not of the closet ) with this statement to try and frighten the rest of the league. I believe he is taken aback by Arsenals superb run and is trying to turn up the heat as he thinks utd are unbeatable......well sir Alex i do hope you have tightened those wheel nuts. Wigan for the title | |

vCash: 465 | Still Worth A Tenner Imo But I Think Fergies To Wily A Campaigner To Start The Mind Games This Early As Arsenal Might Be Playing Fantastic Football But They Haven't Beaten Their Title Rivals Yet And There's Still Along Way To Go Yet |

vCash: 500 | Until they win the Champions League there's no way they can be considered Fergie's best ever. Plus they're in a race for the title with two others still. But now his best two players ever? (Ronaldo and Rooney) Yah probably so. |

vCash: 726 | doesn't matter what age he is, he's not as good as Cantona was, which is what you were saying. SAF says he's got his best team ever at the moment, but he doesn't have Cantona, and the defence isn't as solid as it could be. Rio Ferdinand especially. i don't rate him at all. |

vCash: 465 | with you on ferdinand but i have to disagree with over rooney he will be as good as cantona as he has the same style of play and the same temprement so the only way is up and i wouldn't be suprised if he ecipses the legend of cantona. |

vCash: 726 | but Rooney isn't as good now as Cantona was, and that's what was being claimed. if SAF thought his squad had the potential to be his best that would be a different story, but he didn't. sure, one day Rooney might be a better player, but 'one day' counts for nothing. |
