vCash: 480 | Tevez hails Rooney partnership Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has hailed his fledgling partnership with Wayne Rooney. The duo have looked irresistible when paired together up front, although two injuries to Rooney has restricted their appearances as a double act. Tevez was reunited with the England international against Fulham at the weekend, although it was Cristiano Ronaldo who claimed the plaudits with a brace. However, the pair have played together nine times and the stats prove they do gel and perform with 12 goals coming from those outings. The former West Ham forward believes the players' desire to play with each other and their understanding means opposing defences will need to be en guard for some time to come. "The main factor is that we both have a great desire to play together," said Tevez. "I playing alongside Wayne and he loves it too, which is essential if the partnership is to succeed. That is shown in the way we play together on the field. "We both enjoy it and you can see that. So far I think we are doing well. We understand each other on the pitch. "That's important in a successful partnership and, hopefully, we can continue to play well together over the rest of the season and beyond." |
