We have to talk about this in my sports course actually.

Yes and no. It all depends on what the media says about the player. For example.

Good reports = self belief = good performance.

Obviously can be the other way round.

i think that sometimes media influence in a player's game is immense. There were some examples though, look at david beckham with his personal life all over the tabloid.

aye, but beckham was overrated anyway. it was the media who built him up as a supposedly 'world class' player, then he was found out.

i think sometimes the media in this country can be responsible for people's opinions on football. But is that the fault of the tabloids or the simpletons that read them and form their opinions from what they read as they can't think for themselves?

The media only have control over this mainly due to many fans being unable to make their own judgements on players.

Once a player falls foul of the media they can virtually end theie career.

they lood at players and coaches and try to find out the bad and good things a bad them like christiano ronaldo we all know he has great talent but after the world cup the media ruined that by saying he did this and he did that to wayne rooney if it was the french media they wouldnt care but this is the english media so they think about there own players or players that do things to there players if you understand that
